In the Isle of Man, the Gaming Supervision Commission (GSC) is in charge of licensing medical cannabis-related businesses and oversees the licensing process. There are several key requirements that need to be met in order to obtain a license for cannabis-related operations.
License applications can be submitted through three channels:
The GSC treats all submission channels equally with no preference given to any particular method.
Individuals convicted of drug offences cannot hold any role in a licensed operation.
The GSC will review submissions to ensure:
Background checks will be required on a nominated 'key person' in accordance with the Misuse of Drugs (Cannabis Licences) (Data Processing) Regulations 2022.
