The GSC engage regularly with a wide range of international counterparts and stakeholders, both bilaterally and in multilateral forums. This is to:
One of the ways we do this is to engage with international regulatory bodies like the Gambling Regulators European Forum (GREF) and the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR), which allows us to keep abreast of international developments in the gambling market .
IAGR is a global organisation for gambling regulators whose purpose is to promote the regulation of gambling through collaboration and sharing of knowledge. IAGR is comprised of 75 jurisdictions from all over the world. The GSC's participation in IAGR contributes to efficiently spreading the knowledge of the GSC's work.
GREF is a forum for European gambling regulators that enables members to meet and to discuss gambling regulation and industry issues, share knowledge and experience with each other, especially on regulation, supervision, control of operators, or on the gambling industry.
GREF represents European Gambling Regulators, serves as a central contact for inquiries, promotes research on gambling regulation, and facilitates the sharing of information and collaboration among its members.
The GSC is dedicated to upholding consumer protection and public order through international cooperation. By collaborating with both local and global regulatory bodies, the GSC aims to combat money laundering, terrorism financing, and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
Under the Gambling Supervision Act 2010, the GSC may formalise agreements with international counterparts, ensuring information exchange aligns with the Data Protection Act 2018. These agreements facilitate mutual cooperation, enabling effective regulation and supervision of cross-border gambling operations. The GSC has bilateral agreements in place with the following foreign gambling regulators to share relevant information on an ad hoc, informal basis.
